The Screening Room (Screen 2) at Greenbelt Cinema is an intimate, 40-seat micro-cinema that offers a more personal and immersive viewing experience than the several-hundred-seat main auditorium. While it shares the theater’s commitment to independent films, specialty programming, and community-focused events, its smaller scale creates a quieter, distinctly art-house atmosphere. Unlike the main auditorium, which is part of the building’s original historic design, the Screening Room is a modern addition, introduced in Spring 2022 as a second screen. It functions as a flexible complement to the primary theater, providing space for niche screenings and educational programs while supporting the cinema’s broader mission of diverse, community-driven film programming.

Can I rent The Screening Room?

Yes! The Screening Room is able to be rented as a joint-rental with the green room (not available as an independent space) making it the perfect space for small intimate gatherings. It has previously been used for weddings, birthday parties, photoshoots, corporate trainings, and a recreational space for social clubs and events.
